Codewords is an interesting crossword puzzle game. Players must use deductions to fill in letters on the board based on the code. Each box in the board contains a number from 1 to 26, each representing a letter in the alphabet. At the beginning of the game, several letters would appear as clues for players' deduction. According to the original hints and their own vocabulary knowledge, players will gradually guess which letter corresponds to each number, then fill that letter into the corresponding boxes of numbers.
Correct Filling: Through the process, the player will be able to form meaningful words through that process, and the clue from the already filled-in letters would help in deducing other letters. This would go on and on until the completion of the crossword board. If the letters are wrong, players must first check and modify the filled letters. Codewords is an appealing and intellectual game because it escalates some of the difficulties found in crosswords due to the added concept of letter coding.
